Flagstaff Chamber Board Takes Position on State Ballot Propositions
October 8, 2010"Last but not least, the Chamber Board recommends opposing Proposition 302, which seeks to redirect monies available from the “First Things First” initiative that passed several years ago directly to the general fund to help the State of Arizona balance its budget deficit. The Board felt that early childhood education should be a priority as originally intended under “First Things First,” and that the Legislature should make cuts elsewhere, rather than take this money and sweep it into the state’s general fund.
